Xiaoyue Zhang works in interior design and photographs portraits and landscapes. Working with space has sharpened his attention to scale, material, and light—sensibilities that carry naturally into his photographs. He is drawn to restrained compositions, unforced emotion, and moments that do not need to be arranged.

Road cycling and travel take that way of looking beyond familiar interiors, toward the edges of cities, mountain roads, and more open terrain. This site gathers personal work made along the way.
